Keys To Hardware Upgrade Success

Discussion with Elizabeth Millard of Processor Magazine on planning for datacenter hardware upgrades. We talked about resource readiness, back-out plans and conducting post mortems after each upgrade for continuous improvement.But another stumbling block can be forging ahead even though numerous problems crop up. It’s difficult to back out of an upgrade considering the amount of planning, but it’s better to scrap the plan than face even more difficulties in the near future. Abbas suggests that “back-out triggers” be established before an upgrade is started. He says, “Remember, tomorrow is another day for an upgrade.” Read Full Article Here
