August 27, 2003Let's Go To The PollsBy: Ahmar AbbasWe have had two active polls on this blog and Fast Company for the last couple of weeks. So I though it would be a good time to check and see what the results look like. The first poll was started on Jun 2, 2003 and asked people to discuss their deployment timeframes for grid computing. The breakdown of the 62 responses is as follows: Have already Deployed Grid Solutions : 30% Expect to Deploy within 3 Months : 22% Expect to Deploy within 6 Months : 19% Still Investigating the Technology : 27% Take the poll here. The second poll was started on July 4, 2003 and it asked whether grid computing would have a Shumpterian impact and strike at the "very lives" of their companies. 57% of the 45 reponses indicated that grid computing would indeed have a substantial impact on their organization.
